But what is mine right now? I bought thecontrollersphere the other day and now it’s here. I love Polyvinyl because they always give me more stuff than I ask for.

Speaking of what I asked for… I asked them to draw a bunny on the box AND THEY DID!! THEY EVEN COLORED THEM!!

Ugh this week has been to beautiful~

I can’t wait to get the Documentary and watch it with Jake and snog and stuffins. So much oM is being forced on my body and im enjoying every minute of it.

Want to hear a cool story?
This is the rare (310 made) Yep Roc “Heresy” 12” featuring nearly every artist on the Yep Roc label. It was released for Record Store Day this year on clear vinyl with a DVD of the recording sessions and a numbered silkscreen print. And I wanted it BAD.
But not bad enough to spend $40 on eBay for it, which was the going rate. It may have Fountains of Wayne, Robyn Hitchcock, Sloan and dozens more performing together on it, but its only two songs, so I just couldn’t rationalize it, no matter how hard I tried.
Then I discovered that a record store in Pennsylvania had TWO copies. I contacted them but they wouldn’t do mail order. Rats. I voiced my disappointment online in a record collecting forum and guess what? Someone sent me a note that he was going to that store the next day and would pick it up for me if there were any left. And he did! And $20 later—list price and shipping—I now own it.
How awesome that we live in a world where collectors will do something like that for a complete stranger. Yes, this is not feeding the poor or housing the homeless or any of a million far more noble gestures. It is a small, unimportant moment—but it was important to me, and moreover, it was kind; these days, that in and of itself deserves to be highlighted and appreciated.
